Hello. My name’s Nick, and I’m a geek.
I’m a web applications developer for a swell company called PressEnter.
I married Emily Hartin (now known as Emily Benson) on August 6th, 2004 on the beautiful St. Olaf campus. We had been dating since January 2001.
I grew up in Minnesota, and graduated from Northfield High School in the spring of 2003. While living in Northfield I did my time doing menial labor as a grunt at Dairy Queen and Target. Like every other kid who got really into HTML, I too started a prestigious web design firm. Like nearly every other web design firm started by a middle-schooler, it no longer exists.
I went to college at the University of Oklahoma, where I studied computer science, meteorology, and ended up with a B.S. in Geography. During my time in Norman I was employed, at one time or another, by the Library Systems Office, National Severe Storms Lab, or Center for Spatial Analysis. I graduated in 2008.
When I’m not working, I spend most of my time chasing trains or playing board games with my wife and family.
Thanks for taking a look at my site.
